AdRate answers a question that has no public answer anywhere else in India: what a newspaper notice actually costs. It indexes 1,241 prices across 89 newspapers in 25 cities — Ahmedabad to Visakhapatnam — and sorts each comparison cheapest first, so the spread is visible rather than guessable. A name-change notice runs from ₹250 to ₹1,200 across 21 papers in the sample shown.
Each row gives the paper, its language, the price, and what that price actually buys, since papers charge differently — 15 words in one, 5 lines in another, 20 words in a third. Languages covered include Hindi, English, Tamil and Punjabi, and the whole site is offered in Hindi as well as English.
Notice types are separated rather than lumped: name change, lost document, obituary, matrimonial, property notice and a public notice for disowning. An ad text generator supplies ready wording in Hindi and English, guides explain each process, and booking goes through to a partner classifieds site with a book link on every row.
People in India who must publish a statutory newspaper notice and want the cheapest compliant option rather than the first agent's quote.
Finding the cheapest name-change advertisement in a city; comparing cost per word against cost per line across papers; getting ready notice wording in Hindi or English; publishing a lost-document or obituary notice at the lowest price.

Comparing prices, reading guides and generating ad text is free on the site; the actual booking is completed through a partner classifieds service linked from each newspaper row.

Recording what each price buys — words versus lines — makes a comparison across papers genuinely valid instead of nominally cheaper.
Coverage is the 25 cities and 89 papers the site has indexed, and booking is completed on a partner site rather than on AdRate.
