What It Does
Crowned is a one-throne leaderboard: a single #1 slot on the homepage that anyone can claim by outbidding the current holder. The champion is shown with their handle, a short message, a link to their site, the amount they bid and how long they have held the spot — the recorded example is a $2.07 claim with a reign of five days and change.
The slot is explicitly open for promotion, a brand, a social push, a thought, or a bare link, and the reign lasts only until the next minimum bid clears it. A small increment above the current bid is all that is needed to take it.
Everything about the state is public: a total treasury figure, a live pool of accumulated tributes, counts of crowned monarchs and throne battles, the highest tribute ever recorded, a hall of fame of past champions, and a real-time feed of throne events. Each monarch's page links through to the site they were promoting, and a share-reign and report action sits on the champion card.
