Paperclip is a daily trading puzzle. Every day you start with a red paperclip and a market of traders, and each trader will make one swap, once. The goal is the shortest chain of trades that reaches the day's prize, while avoiding the trades that lead nowhere. The concept is a nod to Kyle MacDonald, who in 2005-2006 traded a single red paperclip through 14 swaps up to a house; his real sequence is playable any time as 'Kyle's market'. The daily puzzle, three weekly bonus markets, Kyle's market, badges, the sticker album, friend challenges and a once-a-day reminder are all free with no account, no ads and no time limit. A single US$1.99 payment (via Paddle, not a subscription) unlocks Practice and Expert markets, the full archive, spare paperclips that keep a streak through a missed day, and a cross-device profile tied to your email. The site states it is made by Pranav Bhaven Savla in India.
Casual players who enjoy Wordle-style daily puzzles and short logic/optimisation challenges rather than action games.
A quick daily brain teaser; chasing a shorter trade chain than yesterday; practising on Practice and Expert markets; replaying Kyle MacDonald's real paperclip-to-house sequence; keeping a streak across devices once unlocked.

A genuinely free daily game with no forced account or ads, and a real, verifiable origin story (Kyle MacDonald's trades) rather than a generic puzzle skin.
Only the daily puzzle and bonus markets are free; the deeper Practice/Expert/archive content sits behind a one-time $1.99 unlock, and it is a single-player web game with no mobile app.
